An oak cutting board is not only a visually appealing addition to your kitchen interior; it is also a practical and functional companion for cooking. With its smooth and sturdy surface, it provides a stable base for cutting, chopping, and food preparation. The oak board is designed to protect your knife blades while keeping ingredients securely in place during use. The natural colours and textures of oak give the cutting board an authentic and rustic look. Each board is unique due to the natural variations in the wood, giving it charm and character.
Our cutting board is not only a beautiful addition to your kitchen, it is also practical and functional. It has a sufficient size to hold ingredients and prepared food, while not taking up too much space on the kitchen counter. With a solid and thick construction, this board is made to withstand heavy use over time.
Care:
If desired, the cutting board can be treated with neutral food oil such as coconut oil or rapeseed oil. Oil seals the pores and helps prevent cracking, but note that the colour will darken when treated. Rapeseed oil may turn rancid over time and produce odour, but this is not an issue for cutting boards used regularly.
Cleaning:
Clean the cutting board under running warm water with dish soap, then rinse well with cold water. Avoid soaking the board and dry it thoroughly after cleaning. Wooden boards are not recommended for dishwashers. A deeper cleaning can be done by rubbing with coarse salt and lemon juice, leaving the board hygienic and fresh.
