Nansen is a solid and versatile traditional “tollekniv,” developed for varied use in the outdoors. The knife features a straight-ground edge, providing excellent cutting performance and precise control in use.
The blade is made from Sandvik 12C27 steel, a durable quality steel that is easy to resharpen. The model is inspired by the knife Fridtjof Nansen received from the Inuit in Greenland in 1888, which he later used on his expeditions. On one side of the blade, you will find Nansen’s signature, giving the knife a historical and distinctive character.
The handle is made from stained and oiled curly birch, offering an elegant appearance and a secure, comfortable grip. The knife comes with a brown sheath made of cowhide leather, decorated with a motif of Fridtjof Nansen.
