Purchase assistance for axes
Our Kikut axe series includes axes in various sizes, designed for different purposes. Some are ideal for packing in your hiking backpack, while others are made for splitting larger logs. However, most people do not bring two different axes on a trip, which means you will need to find a compromise that suits your needs. Here, you can read about the different axes to help you make a well-informed decision when purchasing. One thing to keep in mind when choosing an axe is that the heavier the axe head and the longer the handle, the more efficient the axe will be. The downside is that a longer handle means the axe takes up more space and weighs more.
All axes in the Kikut series are made of composite material, offering durability and a secure grip. One advantage of a composite handle is that it provides better grip than a wooden one - especially when wet. In addition, the large handle end ensures the axe sits comfortably and securely in your hand during use. The Kikut series comes with a protective cover that clips onto the front of the axe blade, included with all models except the splitting axe. This makes it easy to hang the axe in a shed or cabin.
